ERUPT FESTIVAL - JUNK MAIL
What's in your mailbox? How does this everyday functional item reflect our personality? our environment? our community?
The challenge has been issued to School Students across the Taupo district to create a humble mailbox... the twist in this visual arts project is that the students must only use recycled materials, found objects, or up cycled materials.
The mailboxes are displayed alongside the Great Lake Centre, Tongariro North Domain for the duration of the festival (10-20 May 2012) daily 10am - 4pm, and you are encouraged to vote in the 'People's Choice Award' by collecting a vote card from the Erupt Office, and posting it into the slot of your favourite mailbox....
